3:00 a.m. is not the time to give your spouse a to do list.
So last night I woke up wide awake at 3:00 in the morning. I got up, took care of business, and got back into bed. Apparently the ‘mystery intruder’, who sneaks into our house while we’re away with the sole intention of turning up the thermostat, had been there again. I know it’s an intruder because Wendy and Breanna emphatically deny ever touching the thermostat. Because of said temperature increase and possibly my own stealth fails, Wendy started stirring and eventually got out of bed to take care of her own business.
When she climbed back into bed, I started talking to her because she sounded wide awake. After sharing a few heartfelt thoughts, she begins to go through her gargantuan honey-do list. Strangely, at 3:45 a.m. that isn’t as much of a romantic bonding experience as it might sound, so I growled my best hibernating grizzly bear growl and went back to sleep. (she followed suit)
Today she’s teaching a workshop and I’m at home trying to get the office completely organized so that I can begin my own to-do list that will probably take an excel spread sheet and someone proficient in microsoft access to manage, but I’m going to give it my best.
Breanna and I helped her unload a trailer this morning. Pregnant women and their work restrictions… Breanna went into a mild exhaustion coma on the drive home, so she’s sound asleep. I’m trying to balance importing files, loading dishes, cleaning my desk, doing laundry, and trimming the trees in the back yard… (yes, I’ve done all those things in the last 3 hours – not done though)
Last night I was able to write on the Unbreaking Faith website. If you’re interested in more about my faith walk experience, check it out.
Well, sounds like the last card just finished downloading. back to work of another flavor –
